The Plot

Niko is like most kids: he goes to school, does his homework, and... travels through mirror portals to save souls from The Void. It's a duty he thought he'd do alone, until one day 3 of his classmates, Lonnie, Myra & Luna, are granted powers from the constellations to aid in the battle against darkness.They are led into a reality of stars, mirrors, and two leaders on the verge of chaos; one blinded by light and one lurking in the shadows. If the scales tip towards darkness, who knows what will become of the world?

Personality: Effortlessly charismatic and knows more about others than others know about him. It takes a-lot to get personal information about him. He comes across as lazy and uninspired; his focus on his studies is unclear (which makes the school nervous but his mother pays for him to stay there).
Niko leads the group upon learning they have been given powers. Niko is not used to working with others and can often put pressure on the group to be in top shape, stemming from the pressure he faces from the council. He's used to being reckless with himself, which makes the group nervous, and he is often pulled out of dangerous situations by them.

Alonso Benoit Sawyer

Personality:Lonnie is very shy, awkward, nerdy, and knowledgeable. Has imposter syndrome and doesn’t understand just how much of a genius he actually is. He got into Horizon Academy on scholarship, which sends him spiraling about whether he deserves it.
Lonnie is the strategist and often makes plans. He prefers to stay to the side and take shots from far away. If a plan is going awry, he is the first to dash, but his panic is what gets him into trouble, he tends to back himself into corners.

Myra Kirgavik Jones

Age: 16
Ethnicity: Alaskan Native (Inupiat)
Activities: Track and Field, Community Service, boxing
Personality: The coolest girl in school, she is the captain for her track team and co-captain for cross country. She is calm, and very grounded, but tends to be a bit disconnected from her peers. She's too focused on getting scholarships to continue sports in college, hopefully to train for the olympics one day. Beats herself up about not meeting her standards (she’s really good, she’s just hard on herself).
In the void, Myra tends to jump into action, often being the first to throw punches (to Niko's dismay). But she finds herself frustrated trying to understand her powers and ways to fight the void.

Pronouns: She/her (Transgender)
Birthdate: May 23rd
Age: 16
Ethnicity: Jamacian/Chinese
Activities: Chess club, fashion, art club, and community service.
Personality: Bubbly and always full of love, Luna loves bringing out the best in people, especially her best friends! She's incredibly friendly and loves socializing; the whole school knows her, but she wouldn't really call herself popular. Just someone who knows and cares for her community! She has to fight to be taken seriously because of her demeanor and fashion taste (she's in an uphill battle with her chess club).
When fighting the void, Luna is often doing the most dangerous parts of the plan, being the distraction and shield. But if she feels a plan is going south, she does not hesitate to pull (often physically) her team out of a plan and into safety. (She often saves Lonnie and pulls Myra and Niko away from bad or impulsive ideas.)

The Hollow

A world beyond mirrors, with spiraling stairs. Eyes are staring in the darkness and gnarled smiles taunt you, whispering lies to keep you there. It's all it knows to do, lie so it can lure you and then feed. The more souls it eats the more powerful it becomes; it could break past the mirrors.

The Council Zodiac

Super secret organization of 13 constellation bearers, each representing the 12 zodiacs. Their leader is not a zodiac, but there was once a zodiac who led them...

Horizon Academy

The main setting that our star kids reside in! A boarding school for kids who excel in their preferred subjects, such as art, science, sports, etc. The school seeks out talented children to foster their talents and give them a head start in their future college and work careers.
